Construction Project Management Implementation Leader Beth Anderson
Beth Anderson is the backbone of VPO's Customer Experience team for construction project management software and services. Find out why!
New to using VPO? Want a better understanding of an unfamiliar module or feature? You can count on Beth Anderson, VPO Co-creator & Implementation Manager.
Simply The Betht, is how we describe Anderson.
VPO - the software, the services, the company - wouldn't exist if it weren't for her. Beth, or "Mama Bear," as she's affectionately known by her teammates, was our CEO's first hire, and she's also first in our hearts.

1. VPO-riginal
Having designed and developed specific technical and process-focused solutions to meet our customers’ needs, Beth now guides our new users through onboarding, and ensures that VPO exceeds expectations.
"We can train anyone, on any module in VPO," she says.
Beth’s confidence is well earned. A company leader delivering training and professional services for AEC customers since 1998, she’s proud to be a VPO-riginal.
2. Through the Years
Anderson joined our company back when we were an authorized reseller of Oracle Primavera software and services, and we were known as The Simplex Group, Inc. Having previously worked as a COBOL programmer, Beth made a career move because she wanted to be more engaged with the people using technology, by delivering training and providing consulting.
Ten years later, Anderson worked with VPO President & CEO Laura Nee to create VPO as a software solution facilitating efficient collaboration for teams managing construction projects. Since that time, she's worked as a Training Provider, as part of our Support Team, and as a Solution Consultant, in addition to developing many VPO modules.
Her extensive experience and technical expertise, combined with her deep understanding of construction project management goals and challenges, make Beth a pillar of VPO’s customer-focused user experience.
3. Today
As Implementation Manager, she oversees all aspects of putting VPO into practice for each unique customer. Beth personally selects the Implementation Specialist who’ll be the right match for them. She schedules training, delivers VPO’s QuickStart onboarding sessions, and conducts custom workshops to help each customer understand how VPO can be tailored to their specifications.
Not only does Beth’s Implementation Team help VPO users master unfamiliar modules, and refamiliarize themselves with modules they may have used in the past, but Implementation also conducts detailed training-the-trainer sessions for VPO customers who might want to show their own colleagues and vendors how to use VPO on their projects.
While Beth has performed a variety of satisfying roles in our company, delivering training has always been her passion. "I love the challenge,” she says. “You never know what kinds of questions you'll get from someone new to VPO.” And for Beth, the most successful training sessions are those in which not only does the user gain mastery, but she herself learns something new from that user.
In addition to delivering training, our Implementation Team is involved in all aspects of making the VPO user experience the best it can be, for each unique customer. Beth’s team also develops documentation, and does quality assurance work before modules are finalized for customer use. "Basically, we make sure that the product is doing what it's supposed to do. Who could do that better than the people who work with, and train, the users directly?"
One key for success, Beth says, is the willingness and curiosity of the learner. She’s frank about the consequences of skipping training. A person can use VPO without training, she says, "but why do things the hard way?”
Sessions usually take about an hour. Take Beth’s advice and request training today.
