Meeting using Skype makes it more personal. Using body language to convey points is a big factor in determining how the person is understanding what you are saying.

Online Meetings & Instant Messaging

Team communication is critical to the success of a project. Team members typically work from various locations daily and traveling between their office, job site, and home. When you need to get in touch with someone, you do not always know the best method–their office phone or mobile phone. We spend so much time hunting people down, and when a team member in the field has a question, even a successful phone call only shares so much detail. Often you need to show someone something as if you were there in person.

Conduct Online Meetings

We bundle Skype for Business in VPO to allow people to conduct online meetings with their teams. Skype meetings provides audio, video, and web conferencing on the Internet, with the ability to schedule a meeting in advance or start one at any time. Up to 250 people can join a meeting, using the smartphones, tablets, PCs, phones, and meeting room devices. Make video a more natural part of everyday business and collaboration. Focus on the things you are doing together, even when you are far apart, with integrated real-time co-authoring, desktop sharing, application sharing, and PowerPoint presentations.

Instant Message Team Members

With VPO, each team member can install Skype for Business on their PC, tablet, and smartphone–facilitating team communications no matter where everybody is working. In Skype for Business, you add your project contacts, and you can see their online availability, or “presence.” You know at a glance how best to reach a person, and if they are online, you can simply ping them via instant message. You may be able to have a simple chat discussion, or perhaps you will need to have a more detailed, video discussion.

Conduct Live Video from the Job Site

With VPO, team members can conduct video calls with team members using Skype for Business on their mobile device (PC, tablet, and smartphone). You can all use your camera from your mobile devices to share real-time video illustrating your question–whether it be about equipment, or a process, or materials. This way, your team can keep the project moving by getting questions answered more quickly and accurately.
